Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion of sprinting while during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
